When we first started investing we travelled around the city searching for other investors to build a network we could leverage.

We went from group to group dismayed and disappointed.

It wasn’t that they didn’t have something to offer, but almost all of the people in attendance had only ‘thought’ about investing with little action taken.

One of the goals when starting the Rock Star inner Circle was to have a place where local investors could go to get the resources they needed, and not only that, but also to create an environment where they had the opportunity to meet other people who were actively investing in properties.

One-stop shopping if you will

Whether it’s legal, financial, or property management suggestions from certified professionals or first hand strategies from other local investors, it would all exist in one place.

Fortunately that is what the Your Life. Your Terms. event has become.

What started with 40 people looking for investment specific accounting advice has evolved into one of the largest consistent gathering of active, local real estate investors in the country.

People who are implementing the lessons, strategies, and ideas they have and beyond that, are doing it to live life on their terms.

Maybe it’s the common goal that creates such an open environment, with such willingness to share their personal expertise to help others, regardless, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

At our first event this year, multi million dollar developer Frank McKinney told us his faith in real estate investment groups was restored after meeting this group.

Julie Broad, another guest speaker told us the group of people is “absolutely amazing” and “the best” she has ever spoken to.

Recently, we’ve had multiple conversations with tenants who have wished they took the plunge into the market years ago. Who can blame them?

It’s not getting any easier.

Over the years we’ve heard this same wish from investors. Some do something about it, while others just keep wishing.

Either way, the investing landscape is changing.

The increase in prices has started to squeeze cash flow numbers for investors in some areas, while at the same time, opening up opportunities in places investors never thought of just a few years ago.

Governments play their role too. Constantly introducing what just seems like more red tape and cash grab measures.

Investing in real estate is definitely a changing landscape, and like other industries, the pace of change is only accelerating.

What could have been a great investment or strategy recently could be outdated, outrageous or even illegal today.

On the flip side, years ago the Ontario government introduced new laws that are opening up investment options in areas that were avoided before.

In this presentation we’re going to outline some of these changes and their impact on different investing strategies.

It isn’t that we are creating new information, but instead we’re going behind the scenes to uncover the things mainstream media won’t tell us.

This is to gain an understanding of the reasons behind our current economic state so we are better prepared for what’s upcoming.

Coaches Corner - On The Streets Strategy Updates and Market Trends

Everything you read about the real estate market in the media is based off of some figures on a piece of paper.

A few years ago, it was obvious how little value that brought when headlines of “Canadian Real Estate Prices Plummet” were plastered all over a national newspaper, when in fact, that was far from true.

The national average price may have moved, but locally, it was a market with very tight supply and demand forces.

The reality we saw on the streets would come out but only 6 months later, in hindsight when the numbers were put in front on pieces of paper and placed in a newsroom somewhere.
