Make Money While You Sleep with a Vacation Rental Website Featuring Automated Booking and Payment Processing
CHALLENGE
A pair of local real estate investors reached out to me with a new project inquiry. They had recently acquired a property in Turks and Caicos and were looking to use it as a short-term vacation rental. They were already using AirBnB and VRBO for promotion, but also wanted to create a website to generate search traffic to market the property.
OUTCOME
Using WordPress, I created a beautiful custom designed website that’s responsive across any device. I developed functionality that allowed the site’s booking calendar to integrate with the client’s AirBnB and VRBO accounts. Meaning that whenever a customer books the vacation rental through the website, all the client’s other calendars sync and stay up to date, removing the possibility of double-bookings across different platforms. The booking calendar also integrates with the client’s email service and Paypal account so the client can receive deposits and email notifications about bookings right from the website.
Relaxing & Inviting Design
The design for this website project was kept simple to emphasize the tranquil scenery of Grace Bay and the beach house vacation rental.
A video background, full width photographs and typographic embellishments; together these create an inviting experience that’s easy to navigate and read.
Automatic Booking Calendar and Payment Processing
This website’s calendar syncs to the calendars with the client’s VRBO and AirBnB accounts, which ensures there is never a double-booking between the client’s different calendars.
